This year the theme of the Reading Club is "[Theme]"  Objective

When you come to the library on or any time after [start date] you may sign up for the reading club.  When you sign up you will be given a reading log, to keep track of your reading, a "[Theme]" bookmark, to prevent you from losing your place in the book, and instructions on how the summer reading club will work.  You will also get a [Theme item] for signing up.

Though sign up starts on [start date] you will not be able to record your minutes until June 9^th and the last day to fill out your reading log will be [end date].  In September you will be able to claim your "Reading Certificate."

Here is a brief summary of the summer reading instructions:
1. Keep track of the amount of time that you read or are read to

2. When you come to the library go into the bin by the book sale and find your own reading log.  They will be in alphabetical order by your last name

3. In the reading log find the date(s) that you read or were read to and check off boxes for every 15 minutes that you read or were read to on that day.  If you covered more than 2 hours you may add extra boxes to the date.

4. When you have read for at least one hour (4 boxes) bring your reading log to the children's desk where the workers will count up you reading and give you your rewards.
