REFERENCE DEPARTMENT
Patrons are encouraged to ask for assistance in the Reference Department. Telephone requests are also welcome! The library will request loans of titles we do not own from other libraries. Check with Reference staff for details.

Service Philosophy
Reference and information service is part of the Library's commitment to serving the needs of the residents of Union Township. Whether from the Library's own resources, the use of other libraries, or referral to an appropriate agency, the librarians seek to guide people to answers they need. It is the objective of this library to provide accurate & prompt information and reference assistance in response to requests from all persons. This service is given impartially to all with as much expertise as training and professional guidance make possible.

Reference Services
Among these are: Answers to specific questions; Instruction in the use of the library; Assistance in the use of specific materials; Referral to other agencies and libraries; Interlibrary loan services to obtain materials not in the library.
